Herriman High School Senior Pictures  - Herriman Senior Photographer

I was so glad when Kati, who is a senior at Herriman High School reached out to me to take her senior pictures. I had done her 3 older sister's senior portraits, so it was a huge compliment that she also wanted me for her senior photography. 

After chatting with Kati, we decided on a fairly new location that I had been using. The thing I loved about this location, is that it wasn't too far from Herriman, Utah, where we both live, and it was something totally different than the locations we used for her sisters senior pictures. 

Kati visited my studio and chose a couple of pieces of clothing to use from our 'Wardrobe Closet'. She paired those pieces with some items she already owned. A couple days after, we traveled to the location with my awesome assistant Chiara and set up our location lighting while Kati got ready for her senior portrait shoot. 

The location was magical that evening, there were hardly any people around, it was warm, and the sunset was amazing! Because I love to photograph with the beautiful soft sunsets behind my senior photo clients, I always use my location lighting kit. This allows me to create beautiful light on their face, while still capturing the vibrant colors of the sky and surrounding landscape. 

The theme of Kati's senior shoot was half, Moroccan themed and beach themed. Kati has traveled to Morocco so we wanted to incorporate that experience into her senior pictures and of course, who doesn't love a beautiful beach shoot! Beaches aren't very easy to come by in Utah, but I do have a few locations that I often use for my clients who want the beach vibe. 

Where should I get my Herriman senior pictures taken?

As a photographer, I'm constantly on the look out for great locations to take senior pictures. Some of the locations are in Herriman, Utah, but many are in surrounding cities like Bluffdale, South Jordan, and Riverton. This location is further away, but it is still considered one of our "Preferred Locations". 

So much of what makes a great senior photography location has to do with the time of year and the time of day you go. The location where we photographed Kati's señor pictures, is one of the few locations that looks almost the same year round. The angle/direction of the sun does change drastically throughout the year, but as professional photographer that has been shooting senior pictures for over 20 years, I know how to work with all kinds of lighting in all kinds of locations.
